Okay, I'm back to continue my run-down of our recent activities. First of all - someone came off oxygen. I'm not going to name any names, but look at this beautiful face...
(Husband had to point out just how huge his melon looks here, but I want to assure you that he's actually very well proportioned)
Next up...
What, you might ask, does this represent? Well, I'll tell you. This is what Ollie did within the first five minutes of officially moving into our house. He emptied a canister of powdered Coffee Mate onto the table and floor. A few hours later, he dropped the remote control into a glass of water, rendering our TV completely useless. Really, this is nothing. This photo below shows what Ollie is capable of when given 60 seconds and a tube of Desitin (note the perfect shaving cream pattern on his face - he's just recently become aware of his daddy's shaving regimen). I should note that this disaster did not take place in our house. We lovingly refer to him as "Hurricane Ollie". He's awful cute though, so we'll keep him.
Big news...
Husband turned the big 3-9 on Tuesday. Doesn't he look great? It's hard to believe we shared our very first kiss on his 31st birthday. 30 seems like light years from 40, doesn't it? I asked him if me falling in love with him on his 3oth birthday was the best present he ever got, and he graciously told me yes! I spent the whole day preparing something that I know he likes. Actually, it's one of the few dishes our whole family loves - The Pioneer Woman's white chicken enchiladas. I also made rice and beans to go with, and surprised him with his favorite dessert - chocolate mousse (which, I made from scratch and which, is an extremely high maintenance dish - but which, for the first time, turned out really well). I'm quite positive that if I hadn't had to continually stop to nurse a baby, soothe a baby, and hold a baby I would have gotten the whole birthday meal done in about 1/3 the time, but I still had a blast doing it, and Husband seemed to like it. We all looked like slobs at the end of the day, and I told the boys to go put something nicer on. The photo below is what they came up with. They were very excited to sport the ties. I particularly like the multi-plaid combo that Kirby chose. Nothing says "birthday" like an Easter tie on a fall shirt! Honestly, the look on Husband's face when he saw that they had put on ties for him was completely priceless. He loved it.
That's what's been happening in our neck of the woods. I'm going to go see if I can sneak in 30 minutes of sleep or so before the little guy wakes up to eat.

I am so happy that the oxygen is off. I will tell Griffin that he can stop praying for it now, as he includes "Jennifer's baby" in every prayer he utters. (As have I, my friend.)
Love the ties. Your boys are the cutest things ever! And, my-oh-my, you have your hands full now!
Love you. xoxo
Jen...I miss you. I wish I could have tasted that yummy meal you made for husband! Give him a big birthday hug from the Christiansen clan.
Yipppeeee for Gavin. He is no longer a "failure." He is as gorgeous as the rest of you!
Keep on sharing the crazy fun that IS the Federocko household. I love it! I love the joy that I hear and FEEL when I read about your daily life. Good job, momma!!!
Love you, Becky
Dearest Jennifer and family,
So glad to hear Gavin is off of oxygen. Prayers have been answered. Also, sounds like you guys have a full time job keeping up with Ollie but he really is cute. The boys look so cute in their capes that Auntie Trevia made. Hope all is well with the rest of you. Uncle Ken and I are fine. Love to all. Aunt Lolla
