1. Connor gets to be the boss.
2. No, Kirby gets to be the boss, because it's his fundraiser.
3. Connor can use his cash register and "take the cash from the people who pay 5 bucks."
4. Kirby will hand out the candy bars and count out change (a skill he's only just honing).
5. They will set up a table on our sidewalk so that all of our neighbors can come by - never mind the freezing temps!
It took awhile for this whole plan to unfold. Connor kept begging us to "do the fundraiser", so we told the boys we would after dinner. After all the dishes were done and put away, we took out all of the candy to look at it. Connor kept repeating "Okay, let's do the fundraiser now." Stephen and I kept telling him that we were doing it, but he got more and more adamant. Finally, exasperated, he said "No! When are we getting out the table and setting up all the candy outside?"
Fortunately, Kirby seems to get it. Although, he did think that the outside selling sounded good. Husband promised the boys that if we have another nice day soon, they could set up outside. It might be nice for our neighbors to see our kids trying to sell something besides rocks. Besides, I'm out of this one! I don't do candy stands in the dead of winter.

I would have figured "doing the fundraiser" pretty much begins and ends at calling your relatives. You know we're good for a few bars of the World's Finest.
