The Big Party

Sometimes you get more than you expect. Such is the case with Kirby's 6th birthday party, which we held at a local rollerskating rink. Husband and I both agree that it goes down in the books as one of the best days that we've spent together yet. It's safe to say that all who attended had a great time. We had the rink to ourselves and a lot of moms and dads skated too. As you might expect, there were a few injuries...but only with the older crowd (a broken wrist, bruised tailbone, jammed finger and soreness/stiffness were experienced by some). Here is a run-down of the fun:

How many Nanas do you know that rollerskate?

Connor lost interest in skating early on, but he
didn't let that keep him from cutting a rug!

The boys get ready to go to the party
(and no, I didn't dress them matching on purpose!)

Connor takes a spin with Nana and Auntie Heather

Having a ball with Catherine & Emma

Doing the limbo...quite dramatically

I would love to have gotten some good photos of Kirby skating, but seriously, he was hard to catch! The kid just kept going for 2 solid hours. See for yourself...
