Add this to the list of things to never say to a class of 8th graders:
"All right! Who's banging the mouse?"
It didn't even cross my mind...but it sure crossed theirs! Seriously, somebody would not stop banging the mouse (from the computer) on the computer table. Very annoying. Can I help it that the above statement has another meaning in our vernacular?

Oh, that's a good one. Yes, there are many things you do not say to 8th graders. One of those is my last name. I found out my first day of teaching Jr. High that it rhymes with just about everything.
PS: If you catch any student banging a mouse, he/she should definitely be sent to the principal...or school psychologist...
